ACID STAINING

Rich Color, Marbled Appearance

Float Image

The beauty of acid staining is really not a dye or pigment color system, but is a chemical based reaction. A water mixture and a specific amount of colored muratic acid is prepared then applied to concrete. The surface becomes a marbled appearance with veins throughout the area. Reaction time is usually between 1 to 4 hours. The final process is adding sealer. Then the deep earth tone colors appear in the concrete. Note: Older exterior concrete area surfaces may not color well due to the environment may not let it accept staining.
